Caminito del Rey last-minute tickets: what works and what does not
The official site shows sold out for the next three weekends and you are in Málaga on Thursday. This happens constantly, and there are three things that actually work — and two that people try and that reliably do not.

Why operators have tickets when the site does not
Two allocations, not one
Two separate allocations. The official site sold out is not the end of it.
The monument sells a daily allocation of timed tickets through its own channel. Separately, licensed tour operators hold blocks of entries for guided groups. These are not the same pool, and they do not sell out at the same rate.
The practical consequence is the single most useful thing on this page: the official site showing no availability tells you nothing about whether a guided tour is available. People give up at that point and miss a walk they could have had.
Day tours from Málaga tend to have the most availability at short notice, because the operator is holding a coach-load of entries and a few seats going spare is normal. Entry-only guided tickets are next. The tightest are the small-group listings, precisely because there are only seven places.
None of this helps on a Saturday in May, when everything is genuinely gone. But midweek, and outside April, May, September and October, a same-week booking is entirely realistic.
What does not work
Two things people try, and why they fail
No walk-up tickets, and no walking it backwards.
Turning up at the gate. There is no walk-up allocation at the Caminito del Rey. Entry is by timed ticket, checked at the northern access, and the staff there cannot sell you one. People drive out from Málaga to try this every week and are turned round.
Buying a ticket for the wrong end. The route is one-directional from north to south. There is no ticket that lets you walk it the other way, and arriving at El Chorro expecting to start there is a wasted morning. The shuttle exists to get you from the exit back to the entrance, not to start you at the exit.
And one thing that half works: cancellations. Because every listing here cancels free, places do reappear, usually one to three days out. Checking a listing twice a day for the last week before your date is genuinely worth doing.
